Fourth grader, Ethan Wood is a member of the Nashville Boys Choir at Vanderbilt's Blair School of Music. They will be performing Carmina Burana with the Nashville Symphony May 31 - June 2 at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. This summer Ethan will also go on tour with the Nashville Boys Choir to Boston, Massachusetts and New Haven, Connecticut. They will be performing at Harvard and Yale, as well as other venues in Boston.

Donelson Christian Academy is pleased to announce that Bret Schierling has been selected as the school's next middle and high school principal. He currently serves as the dean of men for the high school in addition to being the social sciences department chair and an instructor in history. Mr. Schierling will assume the role of principal as Mr. Keith Singer, the current principal, becomes the school's new headmaster on July 1, 2012.

Congratulations to first grader, Max Williams, for tying for 5th place in the 2012 Individual State Chess finals in the kindergarten – third grade division! He won three games, had a draw, and lost one match. His final score was 3.5. However due to tie breakers and strength of schedule, he received a seventh place trophy overall. Way to go, Max!
